Oregon State Baseball Players Get Jail Time


It's no Loren Wade, but needless to say it was probably a huge distraction this season.

From the Wenatchee World Online:

CORVALLIS, Ore. — Oregon State outfielder John Wallace and
former Beavers pitcher Anton Maxwell have been sentenced to 15 days in jail for
firing rifle bullets that struck a neighbor's house and car.


Maxwell, 22, and Wallace, 21, pleaded guilty in Benton County
Circuit Court to recklessly endangering another. Charges of criminal mischief
and unlawful use of a weapon were dropped.


"Let's call this what it was," Benton County Judge Locke
Williams said at Wednesday's hearing. "It was monumental
stupidity.
